Book of the Month - Motivational Management Made Easy

Book of the Month - Motivational Management Made Easy

As summer approaches, the hotel and leisure industry will be shaking off the dust and preparing for the onslaught. But behind the scenes, the picture will often be less rosy -- a scramble to employ suitable staff who are prepared to work at knock-down rates, and who are likely to stay for more than a few months.

The problem of recruitment, motivation, and employee retention in this sector is notorious. This new guide shows managers how to overcome these special challenges, and achieve excellent customer service while also keeping a loyal and happy staff. The author provides a step-by-step approach which has brought success to a wide range of clients in the area, and won the plaudits of many of the leading figures in the industry.

The principles outlined in this book apply to any industry. They work in the most difficult sector. They will work in any other. To read more about this important new book, click here.

Successful entrepreneur Michael Bell shows how to set up and run a successful business without losing sleep, in this new book just published by Management Books 2000.

Michael Bell began his working life as a motor mechanic with the Kennings Motor Group, switching to sales before joining the Financial Services industry in 1977. He became a top sales producer and manager in record time. After one other move to a major insurer, he started his own company, Results Financial, in 1998 as CEO and sole owner. Since then the company has gone from success to success, and Bell has recently launched a new enterprise "Chef Results", which is also trading profitably.

The secrets of entrepreneurial success are not that difficult to grasp. The key, says Bell, is to plan and run the business from the start as though you are preparing it for sale - in much the same way that builders build a great new house. Plan it properly, get everything right FIRST TIME, and make sure everyone is motivated to deliver the results. Don't cut corners on quality, and make sure that passion and enthusiasm ooze from every pore of the business.

With IT playing an ever-increasing role in corporate business, those that surf, blog and compute generally go further than those with poorer IT skills, especially where the Internet is concerned. Improve your computer literacy with our series of Information Technology books.

Featured IT book - Learn to Use a PC in 90 Minutes

Yes, with a certain amount of common sense, and an average IQ, that's all it takes! In a new book just out from Management Books 2000, the author shows readers how they can use a PC for a variety of purposes, from basic housekeeping, to internet shopping, to social networking, to music and photo exchange, and much, much more.

Unlike other more traditional computer guides, this book is broken down into different types of use or application, and provides a quick illustrated guide (no techno-speak) to explain how to set up your PC and start using it straight away, whatever you want to use it for.

This is a beginner's guide which will also hold some surprises for many who have been using a PC for years. For example, how many PC users know that they can use their PC as a media centre channelling TV, audio and DVD through a single channel? And how many users know how to set up remote access to their computers to allow them to access their computer from anywhere in the world? Simple. This book shows how, in simple step-by-step instructions written in plain English.
